BACKGROUND

On June 17, 2015, Fresh Burrito opened its door for the first time on Fairway Road in Kitchener, Ontario. The Mexican-inspired concept came into existence with the sole purpose of serving customers home-style Mexican food with fresh and healthy ingredients hence why the Brand is called Fresh Burrito Mexican Grill. Our philosophy is simple, we believe when quality and freshness come first, a great experience will follow. Following the simple formula that “Fresh is Healthy”, Fresh Burrito quickly became very popular with long lineups of loyal customers.

Future Expansion

Fresh Burrito is adding new locations every year and will grow to over 40 locations by the end of 2024 Our growth continues in Ontario and are now offering franchises in all Provinces as we begin our Canada-wide expansion. Our locations consist of high-traffic areas with strong visibility, solid anchors, and a co-tenant mix with sizes ranging between 900 – 1,300 sq. ft.

Advertising /Marketing

1. We believe a “prime location” is our best advertising.
2. We build a regular and loyal customer base through word of mouth and consistent experience and customer service.
3. We believe instore promotions is the best form of marketing and happy customers are your biggest advertisers.
4. Our 2% advertising fund is used wisely to promote our stores and further their profitability.

Franchising FAQ's

Turnkey Build Out Cost varies, approx. from $290,000.00 -$500,000.00.

For Example – If your startup costs are $360,000.00 (you will need to invest a minimum of $150,000.00 Approximately in cash in order for the bank to finance the remaining $210,000.00

Fresh Burrito does not provide direct financing, however we have strong relationships with all major Canadian banks. We provide guidance and support for you to obtain the appropriate approvals prior to construction beginning.
We pass on our costs for equipment, signs, food supplies and packaging directly to you without any markup. Fresh Burrito works with contractors and provide them regular business that’s how it’s able to negotiate the best price for leasehold improvements from the contractors for construction. This lower initial investment cost means lower start-up debt, which leads directly to greater and faster profitability.

Franchisees contribute 5% of gross sales in corporate royalties and an additional 2% towards the advertising fund

Fill out a Franchise inquire form or email us at info@freshburrito.ca and a Fresh Burrito Representative will contact you within 24-48 hours and follow up with you to discuss your qualification for a Fresh Burrito franchisee.
Based on the outcome of that conversation, if you like to continue, we will email you a Questionnaire and a Personal Finance statement and once you return the completed Questionnaire and Personal Finance Statement to our Head Office by email: info@freshburrito.ca A Fresh Burrito Representative will contact and follow up with you to discuss and comment upon our review of your application.
Based on the outcome of that conversation, you may then meet with the representative in one of our restaurants so that you can get to know each other, and we will answer all your questions.
Also, at that meeting Fresh Burrito will provide you with a Disclosure Document. This is an in-depth disclosure of information that is material to your decision to invest in a Fresh Burrito franchise. You cannot sign any contracts, nor will Fresh Burrito accept any payment until a minimum of two weeks or 14 days have expired after your receipt of this document.
We will work together to find a suitable site or offer you sites that are available or if you have a site in mind, bring it to us and we will research to see if it falls under our guidelines of suitable location. Once you and Fresh Burrito have mutually agreed on the site, we will negotiate the lease and sign with the Landlord. You will sublet from us under exactly the same terms and conditions or lease directly with the landlord as the case may be.
Fresh Burrito has contracted with Major Canadian Food Distributor to supply everything you need to operate your restaurant.
YES, FOR SURE! But we recommend waiting for at least 6 months – 1 year of operating your first location as we like to see our Franchisees putting the experience gained from their first success to work on their subsequent successes.
